It seems that the whales have returned from holiday and have taken a swim in our seas!
On the way, the sea under optimal conditions allowed us to spot whales 3, anche da molto vicino. Abbiamo incontrato anche due gruppetti di stenelle e due grampi, che quest'anno ancora mancavano all'appello.
Purtroppo il ritorno è stato deludente, anche per il vento che ha ripreso a soffiare con forza, rendendoci il lavoro difficile.
Speriamo in un mese di Settembre un po' più favorevole!

 Grandissima uscita! Mare tranquillo e tempo buono anche se 
 alle volte si oscurava il sole e pareva dovesse piovere. 
  
 Siamo riuscite ad avvistare moltissimi cetacei per un totale di 
 : 18 balene, 6 branchi numerosi di stenelle, 1 caretta, 
 qualche delfino comune (insieme alle stenelle)... 
 and longed to end the first   Cuvier's beaked whale!

Excellent weather conditions: light winds and the sea very calm ... but nothing is seen on the horizon ... Then all of a sudden the ' water moves, you see the sketches ... and here is a blow up and straight and a "small fin" She is, finally a whale !!... ... but the whale seems to be even more special: an animal with its snout out of the water first and then with a full jump on the side showing itself in all its majesty and beauty!
passengers are amazed and our enthusiasm is alle stelle!!!
Non c'è dubbio...anche le balenottere sanno volare!!!

Ancora capodogli a Civitavecchia!

12-13 Agosto, Ilaria e Stefania

Finalmente il mare si è calmato sulla nostra tratta e il viaggio è iniziato subito bene con l'avvistamento di 3 capodogli a circa un'ora di navigazione da Civitavecchia!

Per il resto delle traversate quasi niente cetacei in giro, solo 3 gruppi di stenelle come sempre molto acrobatiche.

Ma che fine hanno fatto le balenottere??

Mare mosso e quindi è stato possibile lavorare solo una paio d'ore...
meno male che uno zifio ha deciso di saltellare un po' qua e là così
lo abbiamo visto!!

Il tempo di avvistare anche 3 balenottere e poi il
mare forza 6 ha interrotto il nostro lavoro :(

So there never bored!

 Sulla tratta Nizza-Calvi equipaggio tutto 
 femminile : Nicoletta,Federica,Beatrice, 
 Irene e Elena sono al lavoro ed hanno 
 raccolto 32 avvistamenti di balenottera, 
  195 avvistamenti di stenella e 2 avvistamenti 
 di tursiopi. Il fatto più sorprendente sono 
  i 6 avvistamenti di delfini comuni, avvistati 
  pochissime volte prima d'ora... 
 Sono in attesa del capodoglio... si presenterà all'appello?
